Peter M. Morrisette is a senior counsel in the San Francisco office of Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP. Mr. Morrisette's practice focuses on environmental law, with an emphasis on litigation, cleanup of contaminated properties, climate change, air pollution regulation, California's Proposition 65, and hazardous waste regulation. Mr. Morrisette recently co-chaired a seven-week bench trial of a complex environmental contamination case. Mr. Morrisette has also worked on a number of large business litigation matters.

Mr. Morrisette has a J.D. from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley. He also earned a B.S. and M.A. in geography from the University of Oregon, and a Ph.D. in geography from the University of Colorado.

Mr. Morrisette speaks and writes about environmental issues including global climate change. Mr. Morrisette has been on the editorial board of Climate Change Law and Policy Reporter since 2008, and he writes a monthly column for the newsletter summarizing recent climate change scientific studies of interest to attorneys.
