Recognized as one of California’s leading practitioners, Wensley adds his considerable deal making prowess to the ranks of Cox, Castle’s widely regarded real estate practice.

Throughout his noteworthy career, Wensley has been lead counsel on many high profile West Coast developments and transactions from Washington and Nevada to Southern California and even Mexico. His clients include land developers, lenders and institutional investors, asset and property management firms, landlords and corporations in connection with their real estate and operational needs as well as real estate industry consultants, including brokers, architects, contractors and environmental consultants.

Throughout his long career, Wensley has worked on all manner of real estate acquisition, disposition, financing, leasing and property management matters for office, industrial and retail projects. He has successfully completed transactions involving more than 20 million square feet of land and buildings, and his form lease documents are in use for over 30 million square feet of office, industrial, and retail space. In addition, Wensley counsels and advises clients on partnership, joint venture and entity selection, formation and operation, and environmental issues, including landlord-tenant matters, environmental due diligence, site assessments and remediation, asbestos abatement and removal, underground tank removal, confidentiality and duty to disclose issues, and water and air quality compliance matters.

Wensley comes to the Cox, castle Orange County office after 27 years with the OC office of Allen Matkins. Wensley graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Business Administration and earned his law degree at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He is a member of the Real Property Section of the Orange County Bar Association. He is also involved in the International Council of Shopping Centers, the National Association of Industrial and Office Park Owners, CORE-Net and the USC Real Estate Alumni Association and has been repeatedly selected for inclusion in Southern California Super Lawyers.
