Ira Waldman Honored With Who's Who Legal 2016 Real Estate Lawyer Of The Year Award

Los Angeles – (April 14, 2016)Cox, Castle & Nicholson proudly announces that partner Ira Waldman received the “2016 Real Estate Lawyer of the Year” by Who’s Who Legal, a leading directory of more than 16,000 of the world’s leading private-practice lawyers from more than 100 national jurisdictions. Waldman was honored by Who’s Who Legal, for the second year in a row, as a recipient of one of its Who’s Who Legal Practice Area Awards 2016, which recognizes individuals and firms that performed exceptionally well in an independent assessment of the world’s top law firms and lawyers in a variety of business practice areas based on the recommendations of private practitioners and in house counsel.

A 36-year veteran of Cox, Castle & Nicholson, Waldman is one of the leading real estate lawyers in the United States. He has been honored as one of Southern California Super Lawyers’ Top 100 Super Lawyers and was honored as the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s (LACBA’s) Real Estate Property Section’s Outstanding Real Estate Lawyer in 2014. Waldman has also been listed in Best LawyersReal Estate Law annually since 2001 and is included in Band 1 in Chambers & Partners’ list of Real Estate Lawyers.

After graduating from Bates College and the University of Maine School of Law, Waldman began his career in real estate financing as real estate counsel at Union Mutual Life Insurance Company (now UNUM). He has since expanded his experience into all facets of real estate law, including secured lender remedies, ownership entity formation, property acquisition and development and leasing in order to provide strategic counsel to the firm’s clients.
