Adam Weissburg was quoted in an April 2, 2012 article about how construction employment has been growing in a number of states but is still lagging in others, suggesting the industry has a way to go before it fully recovers.
According to the article, North Dakota saw the biggest percentage gain in construction jobs between February 2011 and 2012. Pennsylvania added the most jobs. Weissburg said that larger job-growth trends also indicate that more people are working and spending and suggest that industrial demand will start to grow.
“Both of those factors will also suggest an uptick in big-box retail and distribution development, as greater retail and industrial production will parallel more products being moved throughout the nation,” Weissburg said.
