Robert M. Brecht



Robert “Rob” Brecht is a transactional associate on the firm’s Affordable Housing team. Rob represents developers in the acquisition, financing, construction, and disposition of affordable housing projects. He assists clients with the financing of affordable housing projects using tax-exempt bonds, low-income housing tax credits, property tax exemptions, and other public subsidies.

Previously, Rob represented institutional investors investing in domestic and international private funds. He also advised clients on the governance of private funds, including compliance with U.S. federal securities laws.

Rob earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2015 and his B.S. in Economics, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University’s Barrett Honors College in 2010. While at Georgetown, Rob served on the staff of The Tax Lawyer journal.
