Overview

Ryan Nolan practices in the area of commercial real estate finance and is an associate on the Capital Markets team, specializing in representing different types of lenders, including national and regional banks, insurance companies and private lenders, in connection with real estate financing transactions. Ryan has experience with a wide variety of real estate finance transactions, including acquisition and development loans, bridge loans, and construction loans and a broad range of product types, including commercial, multi-family, self-storage, hotel and retail projects.  He also has experience with loan modifications.  Throughout the course of a transaction, Ryan drafts and negotiates loan documents, analyzes diligence materials and coordinates transaction logistics and closings. Although his practice is primarily based in California, he also has experience with a variety of portfolio transactions involving properties across the United States.

Prior to joining Cox, Castle & Nicholson, Ryan represented institutional lenders and commercial banks in closing commercial real estate loans including loans intended to be sold on the secondary market.

Ryan received his J.D., cum laude, from The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 2012 and his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in 2007. While at Pace’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law, Ryan served as a Senior Associate on the Pace Environmental Law Review and received the Pace Certificate of Environmental Law.

Represented a regional bank in connection with a $22.5 million bridge loan secured by an office building in Irvine, California.

Represented an institutional lender in connection with a $10 million loan secured by multiple multifamily apartment communities in Houston, Texas.

Represented an insurance company in connection with $60 million in loans secured by retail, office and industrial properties throughout California and Texas.

Assisted in representation of an international bank in connection with an $80 million loan secured by a mixed-use office/retail building in Salt Lake City, Utah.
