Wylie is a real estate transactional attorney with nearly 15 years of experience representing affordable house developers. Wylie’s primary focus has been representing developers on acquisition and rehabilitation of existing affordable housing projects utilizing multiple layers of financing, including low income housing tax credits, tax exempt bonds, conventional loans and loans from federal, state and municipal agencies, including HUD held and FHA insured financing. Wylie represents his clients on all aspects of a transaction, from drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, equity documents, and assisting with a wide range of regulatory matters. In particular, Wylie has extensive experience working with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) subsidy and loan programs, including Section 8 regulatory matters, and HUD held and FHA insured loans.
Wylie has also worked in house for a national developer and was involved in all aspects of acquiring, operating, and managing a large portfolio of affordable housing projects. In addition, Wylie has represented management companies specializing in HUD Section 8 and other federally subsidized properties.
