Al DeLeo is a tax attorney.

Al is highly regarded by his clients for his ability to advise on structuring real estate investments to maximize the client's income tax objectives. He has particular experience in matters involving real estate acquisitions, dispositions, sale-leasebacks, partnerships, exchanges, co-venturing and development, real estate investment trusts, and tax-exempt entities (including pension funds) and their investments in real estate.

Al also works with clients to maximize their local tax planning objectives and to contest property tax valuations where appropriate. In addition, he regularly advises clients on the application of the California documentary transfer tax and assists clients in working through the often-unclear rules in different localities.
