Kaitlin is a commercial real estate transactional attorney who advises owners, investors, developers, operators, sponsors, and institutional investors on complex real estate transactions. Her practice focuses on purchase and sale transactions, joint venture structuring and negotiation, and real estate private equity funds.
Purchase and Sale Transactions
Kaitlin represents a broad range of clients in the acquisition and disposition of developed and undeveloped commercial real estate. She advises operators, investors, homebuilders, and other entities in negotiating purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, easements, and other transactional matters for multifamily, office, industrial, mixed-use, and residential developments. Clients rely on her ability to efficiently structure, negotiate, and close sophisticated real estate transactions, including both direct asset sales and entity-level transfers.
Joint Venture Transactions
Kaitlin counsels investment funds, developers, operators, capital providers, and other investors on the structuring, negotiation, and formation of joint ventures. She has extensive experience advising clients on ventures involving the acquisition, recapitalization, ownership, development, and operation of a wide variety of real estate assets, helping clients navigate complex business and legal considerations to achieve their investment objectives.
Real Estate Funds
Kaitlin advises institutional investors and sponsors in matters concerning real estate private equity funds. She represents institutional investors investing in commingled funds with a wide variety of fund structures and strategies, including debt and equity funds (and combination debt and equity funds) structured as closed-end funds, open-end funds, REITs, and co-investments. She also represents sponsors in the formation of single-asset syndications and multi-asset funds.

Represented healthcare clients in connection with the acquisition of an 11-property portfolio of assisted living facilities located in the Pacific Northwest
Negotiated and documented a pension fund’s aggregate investment of $550 Million in U.S. and Canadian commingled funds
Represented a pension fund as the equity investor in a joint venture acquiring over $230 Million in real estate assets
