Overview

Ravi Mehta is a battle-tested litigator with a focus in construction disputes.

He represents developers, general contractors, and subcontractors in residential and commercial construction litigation, with projects ranging from luxury, museum-grade single-family residences to large-scale mixed-use developments. Ravi’s expertise is in complex, multi-party construction litigation, with claims involving construction deficiencies, liens, bonds, and delays. His experience also includes mold litigation, product liability, and general liability matters, including catastrophic torts. Ravi has negotiated hundreds of settlements in challenging disputes, via mediation, in both pre-litigation and litigation contexts.

Ravi has dedicated his career to representing and providing strategic counsel to clients in construction disputes and advocating on their behalf. In addition, he has expertise in navigating insurance coverage issues to effectively transfer risk on behalf of his clients, including as they relate to builder’s risk, commercial general liability, professional liability, and errors and omissions policies.

Ravi has practiced in State Courts throughout California, from Shasta County to Imperial County, and has successfully handled disputes via arbitration (AAA and JAMS). He has represented clients in construction disputes for a wide range of projects, including places of worship, casinos, universities/student housing, hotels, dairy/food production facilities, and wineries.
