A commercial finance attorney on the firm’s Capital Markets Team, Katherine specializes in representing a variety of lenders, including insurance companies, private lenders and national and regional banks in connection with diverse real estate finance transactions. She has also secured funding for borrowers, including a private REIT operating throughout the Western United States.
Katherine has experience with acquisition loans, bridge and construction loans, mezzanine loans, revolving credit facilities and ground lease financing. Her deal experience spans a broad spectrum of product types, including hotel, retail, commercial and multifamily projects. Throughout the course of a transaction, Katherine is involved in drafting and negotiating loan documents. She also identifies and reviews a wide array of due diligence as well as coordinates transaction logistics and closings. Although her practice is primarily based in California, she also has experience with a variety of portfolio transactions involving properties across the United States.
While at UCLA School of Law, Katherine was a founding member and served as Vice President of the Real Estate Law Association in connection with the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate. She was also Comments Editor of the UCLA Journal of Environmental Law and Policy. Katherine was awarded the 2010-11 Jerry Patch Constitutional Law Award and was designated a member of the Order of the Coif, graduating in the top 10% of her class.
