Chris is a transactional real estate attorney with considerable experience representing a broad spectrum of clients, from large institutional investors, REITs, master developers and public companies, to nimble entrepreneurial developers, non-institutional investors and local builders.
Chris has a well-earned reputation for successfully navigating complex legal challenges with a practical approach to problem solving.
Clients look to Chris to “run the deal” and rely on him to negotiate the acquisition, sale and development of complex multi-family and mixed-use projects, homebuilding projects, industrial projects and medical office and traditional office transactions.
Chris provides key strategic and risk management counsel to his clients while structuring and preparing acquisition, disposition, joint venture, property and development management, profit participation, and related critical deal agreements.
Chris has also represented some of the nation's most prestigious country clubs in connection with the structuring and implementation of equity and non-equity membership programs, creating balloting programs, preparation of club bylaws and addressing ongoing member matters. Chris has also successfully closed the sale of a number of operating golf courses and navigated the challenges unique to this asset class. Chris earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law in 2001, where he participated in the Hale Moot Court honors program.
